Dr. Alfred Liu is a dedicated RACP advanced trainee in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. He currently serves as a registrar at Monash Medical Centre’s Paediatric Emergency Department. Demonstrating a strong commitment to emergency medicine and critical care, he is on track to complete his fellowship and build a career in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Liu’s interest in enhancing nasogastric tube practices has motivated his studies aiming at reducing pain and distress in paediatric patients undergoing this procedure. Awarded the Monash Health Emerging Researcher Fellowship, he collaborates with PREDICT, CIRCAN, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) to conduct this research. His findings have been well-received at PREDICT meetings, contributing to the advancement of paediatric emergency medicine.
