Ms. Diana Goubrial is the Senior Clinical Pharmacist in the Emergency Department (ED) at Alfred Health. She is also a Teaching Associate at the Monash Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Experiential Development and Graduate Education unit.
Diana has been working in the ED for almost 6 years. With a strong interest in medication safety and stroke, she has co-authored a published randomised controlled trial looking at restricting oxycodone use in the ED, is currently working on a medication safety project that aims to reduce the incidence of medication errors from verbal orders and is also involved in a multidisciplinary research project designed to test if a digital algorithm can enhance hyper-acute stroke care in the ED
Diana is the Chair of her hospital’s Ed/Stroke Working Group – a multidisciplinary working group stemming across multiple units that aims to continuously improve national targets regarding thrombolysis and thrombectomy.
