A graduate of Adelaide Medical School, Dr Karly Field has been an enthusiastic member of the Emergency Medicine workforce for almost 20 years.
Currently the DEM of Macksville District Hospital in the Nambucca Valley, she is privileged to live and work on the beautiful Gumbaynggirr homelands, having returned to the area she grew up in and where her family still lives.
She is the EMET Medical Lead for the Coffs Harbour Clinical Network, works with ACEM on the RRR committee and various working groups, and is the Head of Campus for Charles Sturt University Rural Medicine Northern Rivers Clinical School.
Karly believes in leading with curiosity and through collaboration, with education the central pillar of her approach. She enjoys reading about anything and everything, hiking with her family, and seeing the beauty in small things.
