Dr Sarah Simons is an ACEM Training Stage 2 Registrar in Naarm/Melbourne with a postgraduate MSc in Global Public Health from University College London. She has a clinical and academic interest in Social Emergency Medicine with a particular focus on gendered healthcare considerations and marginalised communities in the ED. Her previous work includes instigating an opportunistic Covid-19 vaccination programme in the ED, facilitating better recognition of hidden homelessness and improving miscarriage care and pregnancy loss as part of broader educational efforts to understand how social vulnerabilities affect healthcare in the emergency setting.
