Dr Shefali Jani
Qualifications included MBBS,MD, MClinEpi, Grad Cert Clinical redesign(ACI/UTAS),Professional coach, FRACP (PEM). She is a paediatric emergency physician and is currently working as the Medical Director in the Emergency department(ED) at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead
She holds the title of the Clinical Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
She has 10 years of experience in the field of Paediatric Emergency Medicine and is the Sepsis champion in the department. Her focus is on patient safety and is passionate about improving care of children presenting with sepsis.
Dr Jani is currently working as the research lead in the ED at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. As an active member of the PREDICT research network, Dr Jani is involved in various multicentre randomised control and prospective observational studies focusing on paediatric sepsis, abdominal pain and mental health presentations to the ED.
