Associate Professor Viet Tran is an emergency physician and deputy director of the Royal Hobart Hospital ED, researcher, educator and strong patient advocate. He is founder and director of the Tasmanian Emergency Medicine Research Institute, chair of the Emergency Departments Network and Discipline lead for Emergency Medicine at the University of Tasmania. A/Prof Tran is also chair of the ACEM Research Committee with the vision of empowering all ED clinicians to incorporate the principles of research to deliver high quality care and outcomes. His research seeks to empower patients, clinician and leaders to understand how they can make a positive impact an individual level, systems level and everywhere in between.
