Hosted by a team of consultants and sonographers spearheading echocardiography teaching in Australia’s first and only cardiac emergency department, this workshop explores all aspects of Focused Echocardiography in the emergency department. During a three-hour session of interactive learning, demonstration and practicing echocardiography performed in the ED:
The workshop will cover:
- Basic cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Probe movements and manipulation
- Standard views
- Common pathology
- Management of acute cardiac pathology
There will also be practical stations hosted by clinicians and sonographers practically applying tips, tricks and troubleshooting methods to Focused Echo in Life support.
